Playoffs, Week 2: Saturday Roundup

Gotta love when a headline is both lazy AND stupid.

STUDS

• Patrick Wisdom (JVC) homered twice for the second consecutive day. This time, it was a pair of solo shots.

• Tommy Edman (CB) doubled, singled 3 times, drove in 2 and scored twice.

• Dylan Carlson (BOPP) homered, singled, walked twice, drove in 2 and scored twice.

• Logan Webb (BOPP) continued his late push for the Cy Young Award by fanning 6 and not allowing a run in a 7-inning win. He hasn't allowed more than 2 runs in a start since May 5.

• Jorge Alfaro (PM) stole a base -- his 8th of the season! He also doubled, singled, drove in 3 and scored a run.

• Adam Wainwright (M) struck out 5 and didn't allow a run in a 7-inning win.

• Sandy Alcantara (TIN) broke his career high -- set in his his previous start -- with 12 strikeouts and allowed 1 run in a 7-inning win.

DUDS

• Daniel Bard (PM) allowed 3 runs and took the loss without retiring a batter.

• Vladimir Gutierrez (LCL) allowed 5 runs and struck out 2 in a 3-inning loss.

• Connor Joe (TIN) had a sac fly and an error.
