Opening Day Roundup

Here's Tyler Mahle, because I absolutely 100000% refuse to post a picture of a Cardinal on opening day.

The blog will likely be more infrequent this year... I know everyone will miss having a daily Mets joke to look forward to. But we'll do our best.

Hope everyone enjoyed Opening Day Part 1. I know I sure did, because my "closer" got me a minus-6. It's good to know some things never change.

• Tyler O'Neill (PM) homered, singled, walked and drove in 5.

• Adam Wainwright (R) struck out 6 in 6 shutout innings against the Pirates --> get used to seeing that phrase a lot.

• Tyler Mahle (CB) tossed 5 shutout innings with 7 strikeouts for the win.

DUDS

• Robert Suarez (BB) took the loss, allowing 3 earned without making an out.

• JT Brubaker (R) allowed 4 runs and struck out 2 in a 3-inning loss.
