Congrats to 2021 FBLG head-to-head champion... (checks notes) Reid?!??! Oh my. Way to go, old man!
Reid's Misfits took down rookie owner Jack's Sunshine Carpet Cleaners in convincing fashion 388.17-280.5 to win the title. Tyler O'Neill put up an absurd 70.5 points over 2 weeks to lead the way. In fact, Cardinals hitters (O'Neill, Paul Goldschmidt, Nolan Arenado and, ugh, Harrison Bader) were the top scorers for four different teams in the past 2 weeks, and Tommy Edman was second for another team. Ridiculous!
Adding insult to injury, the big win was also enough to vault Reid past Jack into second place in the overall points standings. The commish team of Rich & Brian took first place in suspense-free fashion, finishing with a 156-point cushion. Adam's team was the only team not to get to 4,000 points and solidified the first pick in the 2022 draft. We are sure he'll draft a Met!
Final point totals:
1. Tears In Nevin (Rich/Brian, 4666.33 points, last week 1)
2. The Misfits (Reid, 4510.67 points, last week 3)
3. Sunshine Carpet Cleaners (Jack, 4461.66 points, last week 2)
4. Lumber Co Lumber (John, 4413.33 points, last week 4)
5. Boogie Oogie Penny Ponies (Matt, 4374.84 points, last week 5)
6. Clemente's Bucs (Ray, 4251.5 points, last week 6)
7. The Rookies (Henry, 4133.5 points, last week 7)
8. Project Mayhem (Bill, 4045.83 points, last week 9)
9. Arbitration Losers (Tim, 4026.5 points, last week 8)
10. Jon Voight's Car (Adam, 3936.34 points, last week 10)
Which makes next year's draft order:
1. Adam
2. Tim
3. Bill
4. Henry
5. Ray
6. Matt
7. John
8. Jack
9. Reid
10. Rich/Brian
Give us a minute to sort out who won money and who owes money and we'll be in touch. Let us know if you don't plan to be back in 2022; otherwise, we'll plan on seeing you all for the draft in the spring!
If we're properly inspired, perhaps some more season wrapup to come. Thanks for another great FBLG season!
